The campaign encourages Democrats to choose an “optional” vote over Biden in the state’s primary election, aiming to garner at least 10% of the vote. The state of Michigan, which hosts the largest concentration of Arab Americans in the country, has previously seen a narrow win for Biden in the 2020 election. Michigan’s Democratic Governor, Gretchen Witmer, has warned against the movement, citing the high stakes of the upcoming election.
