The Perkiomen Valley School Board in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, has decided to reverse a controversial bathroom policy. The policy, known as Policy 720, was implemented in October and stated that students must use restrooms and locker rooms that correspond with their sex assigned at birth, barring transgender students from using bathrooms that align with their gender identities. It also opened single-use bathrooms, previously only available to teachers, to all students and staff. However, many parents and residents argued that this policy was unfair for transgender students.
