Red Light Management, one of the world’s largest independent music management companies, is in search of a talented and passionate social media manager to oversee their roster of clients in the electronic department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing top-notch social media campaigns for music clients, from crafting an overarching strategy to executing day-to-day activities across all digital platforms. This individual will play a crucial role in connecting digital success to all aspects of a client’s career, driving growth on social media platforms, and enhancing brand communication and fan experience through digital interaction.

To excel in this role, a thorough understanding of client objectives, current best practices, and the competitive space of music marketing and social media is essential. The social media manager should be capable of developing successful content timelines and tracking progress against key metrics. Additionally, building relationships with influential companies like Meta, TikTok, and YouTube will be a key aspect of the role.

In addition to general responsibilities, the social media manager will be expected to present forward-thinking marketing ideas for clients. Effective collaboration with internal teams such as graphic design, photo/video, and artist management is crucial, as is the ability to clearly communicate the vision to clients and label partners.

Responsibilities:

– Lead overall strategy and execution of music clients’ social marketing, including calendar creation, content creation, community management, channel growth, and creative marketing ideas.
– Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing content (both still and motion) for clients.
– Provide in-depth reporting, insights, and analytics across campaigns.
– Communicate and work closely with artists and management teams to ensure seamless execution of social campaigns.
– Stay informed on emerging trends and technology, and provide updates to internal teams and clients.
– Actively participate and contribute in meetings.
– Represent the company professionally at all times.
– Develop and foster relationships with platform representatives.

Expectations/Qualifications:

– Minimum 3 years of experience managing social marketing for music clients.
– Extensive knowledge of all major social channels, including platform-specific algorithms, advertising platforms, and features.
– Ability to manage 5-10 artist accounts across multiple platforms.
– Familiarity with emerging platforms and product features (Reels, YouTube Shorts, Discord, etc.) preferred.
– Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
– Exceptional time management and project management skills.
– Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
– Ability to nurture and maintain good relationships with artists.
– Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
– Passion for creative and out-of-the-box thinking.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Excellent creative writing skills and the ability to match artist voice.
– Exceptional eye for quality design and understanding of how to create and foster a unique visual aesthetic.
