Over the past week, Kyiv reported 16,402 new cases of SARS, including influenza and Covid-19, according to the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health. There were three adult deaths, two from complications of Covid-19 and one from influenza A. However, the city’s morbidity rate is below the epidemic threshold by 30.4%, reflecting a decrease in morbidity by 22.2% compared to the previous week. Among the total cases, children accounted for 55.4%, and the number of hospitalizations also decreased. The report highlighted that vaccination remains the most effective protection against severe coronavirus disease.
