The residents of Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, have a tradition of celebrating International Family Day. The event is initiated by civil society and non-governmental organizations, with the support of the city government who acknowledges the family as society’s foundation. During Family Day held at M.Chekman’s park, residents walked through the park’s central alley for the official part of the celebration. Prayers were made for the blessing of the Ukrainian nation, the strengthening of families, fallen heroes, and soldiers defending the country. Deputy Mayor Mykola Vavryshchuk addressed the participants, awarded contest winners, and children received awards and gifts. The event also offered entertainment for both children and adults, with various locations set up for games and activities.
