A man named Kevin Parada was fatally shot around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday in the 6500 block of Bear Avenue in Bell, near Ernest Debs Park and Gage Avenue. Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene to find Parada unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Despite the life-saving efforts of paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Parada was pronounced dead at the scene. No information about potential suspects or the motive behind the shooting was given.
