“The 100 in South Africa has given me some confidence” – KL Rahul reacts to his 86 in 1st Test vs England
KL Rahul, the wicketkeeper-batter for the Indian cricket team, said that he is enjoying playing as a middle-order batter following his successful performance in the ongoing Test in Hyderabad against England. He attributes his strong performance to the confidence gained from a century he made during a Test series in South Africa and the adjustments he made in his playing style. In the game against England, Rahul scored 86 runs off 123 balls, contributing to India’s lead of 175 at stumps on Day 2. Apart from Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja also scored in their 80s, ending the day with India at 421/7 after 110 overs.
