In the ninth hour of the IMSA race, Pipo Derani was leading but quickly pitted and handed over the No. 31 Cadillac to his teammate Aitken. Notable incidents include Jenson Button colliding with a Chevrolet Corvette GT.3 R and the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura suffering a power issue.
