Man Dies from Shooting in South Louisville

A man who was in serious condition from a shooting in South Louisville has died in the hospital. The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) received a call about the incident just after 9 p.m. on Saturday at the 6700 block of Strawberry Lane. The area is located in the Southland Park neighborhood, near Iroquois Park.

According to Alicia Smiley, a spokesperson for LMPD, upon arriving at the scene, the police found a man who had been shot. He was immediately transported to the University of Louisville Hospital in serious condition.

Following the incident, the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday. At present, the LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.
