New Hampshire Mother Arrested for Speeding with Unbuckled Kids

A mother from New Hampshire was apprehended after she was caught speeding more than 100 mph with two unbuckled kids in a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV. This incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Friday on Route 101 westbound, according to New Hampshire State Police. The SUV, driven by 23-year-old Shirley Stanley, was spotted weaving through traffic at points reaching 112 mph.

Upon stopping the vehicle, state police found Stanley’s two children, aged 1 and 4, inside the SUV without any child restraint system. Stanley was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of violating required child passenger restraints, reckless operation, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, speeding, following too closely, and unsafe lane change.
