76% Of Americans Don’t Trust Car Dealers To Be Honest About Pricing

A new survey by KPA, a company that helps businesses comply with new laws and regulations, reveals that a majority of customers distrust car dealerships. The survey carried out among 2,098 Americans reveals that 76% of respondents distrust dealerships regarding transparent pricing, 84% believe that most dealerships lack price transparency, and 86% express worries about hidden fees. Despite these perceptions, many noted that their actual dealership experiences were better than expected. The survey further exposed dealers’ practices with 34% of respondents feeling pressured to purchase add-ons, 30% finding hidden fees after agreeing to a price, and 29% relinquishing a deal due to perceived dishonest pricing.
