WorkSport is presently developing a solar cover, the Solis, for the Ford F-150 Lightning, which had achieved 24,165 sales last year alone. The initial use of the solar cover will be to harness the sun’s energy for off-grid use, before exploring its potential to charge the truck itself. The company suggests the cover could potentially contribute to the vehicle’s range, possibly adding up to 10 miles (16 km) per day. The launch of the Solis solar cover will be synchronized with the finalization of the COR battery to ensure a seamless introduction to the market.
