9

The short film “Train of Thoughts” by award-winning filmmaker Asia Taylor is premiering at Bronzeville Incubator as part of Urban Juncture’s Build Bronzeville initiative. The film features stories from Bronzeville residents and explores the history of AfriCOBRA, a Black artist collective formed in the late 1960s, the legacy of journalist Ida B. Wells, and other lesser-known Bronzeville stories. The film, which was inspired by the Chicago Film Archives, aims to connect Bronzeville residents through the art of storytelling and resist gentrification. A panel discussion with Bronzeville Winery founders Cecilia Cuff and Eric Williams, Peach’s Restaurant owner Cliff Rome, writer and filmmaker Pemon Rami and artist Arlene Crawford will follow the screening.
