The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is welcoming its residents to participate in a series of events leading up to its official start on February 27 at NRG Park. Some of the activities include the annual rodeo trail rides, which began last week with over 2000 participants, the family-friendly Rodeo Roundup featuring live music and a Texas Longhorn steer, and the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Competition. Additionally, “Go Texan Day” encourages rodeo supporters to sport Western attire and take part in an online spirit competition. The rodeo will run through March 17, featuring several performances from headlining musicians such as Blake Shelton, 50 Cent, Hank Williams Jr., and Brad Paisley.
