The Paramount biopic “Bob Marley: One Love,” starring Kingsley Ben-Adir as the late reggae icon, remains at number 1 on the domestic box office chart, earning an estimated $13.4 million to $14 million from 3,597 locations. The film, which debuted on Valentine’s Day, has already grossed over $100 million globally in just 10 days of screening. The film’s opening week saw it earn $51.1 million, marking one of the best music biopic openings, second only to “Straight Outta Compton” with $60.2 million in 2015. The film recounts the year following an assassination attempt on Marley’s life, his relationships with his band, The Wailers, and his family. Marley’s music continues to have a significant impact, with over seven billion official on-demand U.S. streams and his album “Legend” being the second-longest charting album in Billboard 200 history.
