The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) seized 17 guns from alleged gang members during an investigation south of the Fashion District. Officers were led to a gathering of 50 to 70 suspects, smoking narcotics and drinking alcohol in public. Upon detainment, several individuals attempted to discard or hide firearms. Six of the recovered guns were untraceable “ghost guns”. Three arrests were made, one related to firearms suspicions and the others related to disrupting the peace.
