Talks between Taiwan and the United States are underway to establish a “contingency stockpile” of munitions on Taiwan’s soil, aiming to boost Taiwan’s defense capabilities. Experts suggest that the stockpile should focus on amassing munitions already in use by Taiwan’s military to ensure operational effectiveness, with an emphasis on smaller and more mobile weapons.
