A young child was rescued from a house fire in the Deer Park area, according to local fire officials. The incident, which occurred just before 2 a.m. on Durant Avenue, resulted in the child sustaining significant burns and being airlifted to a Houston hospital. Their condition remains unknown. While no other human casualties were reported in the fire, the family’s two pets did not survive.
