“He’s NFL-ready” – Desmond Howard names Big Ten player as top-3 QB for the 2024 NFL draft
Desmond Howard, a college football analyst, predicted Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy to be the third quarterback pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Howard, a Michigan alumnus, claimed that McCarthy is NFL-ready after leading the Wolverines to another unbeaten regular season and securing a place in the College Football Playoff. Howard also gave an unconventional opinion that LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, the recent Heisman Trophy winner, would be the first quarterback pick, followed by 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. However, many other analysts and fans do not agree with Howard’s predictions.
