Brothers resentenced to 60 years to life in 1995 slayings of parents, younger brother

Two Pennsylvania brothers, Bryan and David Freeman, who were sentenced to life in prison for the murder of their parents and younger brother in 1995, have been resentenced to 60 years to life, giving them a potential chance at parole. The brothers were 17 and 16 respectively at the time of the murders and were allegedly affiliated with a white supremacist skinhead movement. The resentencing comes as a result of a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling barring life without parole terms for juveniles. Bryan Freeman expressed remorse for his actions, stating his religious faith gave him hope of seeking his family’s forgiveness. Their defense argued troubling upbringing and substance abuse as contributing factors to their crimes.
