The office of “Smart Environment. Khmelnytskyi” in Ukraine is launching the third season of its trench candle volunteer initiative on November 8. The initiative invites volunteers to help manufacture trench candles for military servicemen as requests from the military have begun to come in, especially with the onset of colder temperatures. The candles, which burn for approximately four hours, are invaluable in field conditions, providing not only warmth but also the ability to cook food. Through the initiative, which will continue as long as there is a need, over 12,500 candles have been sent to various fronts between 2022 and 2023.
