The mayor of Khmelnytskyi, Oleksandr Symchyshyn, announced the start of the heating season 2024-2025 on October 16 due to a significant decrease in the average daily outdoor temperature. The city’s Infrastructure Department and municipal utility enterprise “Khmelnytskyiteplokomunenergo” were instructed to gradually turn on heating in apartment buildings that receive centralized heat. Preparations for the heating season cost approximately 90 million hryvnias, which allowed for the installation of new boilers, modernization, and repairs of existing ones, and replacement of old networks. Symchyshyn expressed gratitude to the collective for their work despite the lack of staff, as almost 40 employees of the heat supply enterprise were mobilized.
