The city center of social services in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, is implementing a social service for mediation, an effective way to resolve family disputes. The training of center staff has commenced, thanks to a victory in a contest by the All-Ukrainian Public Center “Volunteer”. Training will last for eight months in both face-to-face and online formats, with each participant obtaining a certificate to conduct family mediation. Mediation is a non-judicial and voluntary procedure, helping to prevent or resolve conflicts through negotiation. Experts from the center hope that high-quality mediation will prevent child trauma during family disputes and protect the child’s rights and interests.
