According to a study by the Resource-Analytical Center “Society and Environment”, a green post-war reconstruction in Ukraine can create over 4.2 million jobs in key sectors: transport, energy, healthcare, education, and water supply. The energy sector alone could provide up to 1.2 million additional jobs. The professional education system plays a crucial role in the ecological transition by preparing professionals with eco-friendly thinking and knowledge of green technologies. A project in Khmelnytsky, involving the installation of solar panels at a vocational school, exemplifies the potential benefits of integrating green economy concepts into education. The school is also preparing to license training for a new profession – “Electrician for repairing and servicing solar installations”.
