The Ukrainian State Employment Service is offering employment services to war veterans, their families, and disabled veterans. Services include individual support from employment service professionals, job search assistance, vacancy selection based on needs and capabilities, direct workplace training, and access to a jobs portal and Telegram channel for independent job search. Ex-military members can receive unemployment status in two ways: visiting an employment center in-person or through the ‘Diya’ portal. The Khmelnitsky Employment Service offers professional training for 95 worker professions and more than 400 educational programs, or the opportunity to receive a training voucher for one of 124 professions approved by the Ministry of Economy. Grant programs are available to receive up to 250,000 UAH for starting or developing a business, with up to 1 million UAH for veterans and their families. Unemployment assistance is determined individually, up to 7100 UAH during martial law, with payment not exceeding 90 calendar days (360 days for pre-retirement individuals).
