The rehabilitation department of the Khmelnytsk Regional War Veterans Hospital (Ukraine) is helping injured soldiers to recover. The department, which expanded from 30 to 52 beds with the opening of the Recovery center in February, offers free training for medical staff in Ukraine and abroad. In addition to physical and ergotherapy, the rehabilitation process includes psychological support. Each rehabilitation cycle lasts 15 days and the total number of cycles depends on the diagnosis. The aim is to restore patients’ independence as much as possible. The hospital is part of the national Recovery project founded by Olena and Viktor Pinchuk to aid the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
