Volkswagen is recalling over 261,000 cars in the U.S. due to a potential fuel leak that could increase the risk of fires. The affected models include certain Audi A3s, VW Golfs and GTIs from 2015-2020, 2015-2019 Golf Sportwagens, and 2019-2020 VW Jettas with front-wheel drive. The manufacturer discovered issues in a pump seal that could lead to fuel leakage from a charcoal canister in the emissions control system. No fires related to this problem have been reported yet. This is the second recall from VW regarding the same problem; previously, 110,000 cars were recalled in 2016.
