US launches new strikes on Houthi fighters in Yemen amid continued Middle East unrest

A coalition led by the U.S. and U.K. conducted new strikes on the Houthis in Yemen in response to the group’s continued attacks on commercial and naval vessels. The strikes were targeted at 18 locations, including underground weapons storage facilities, missile storage facilities, and air defense systems. The U.S. has portrayed its strikes in Yemen as de-escalatory and is aiming to prevent the conflict from spreading in the region.
