Man charged after 5 Starbucks robbed in 6 days

Kentrelle Tatum, a 24-year-old convicted felon, has been charged with robbing five Starbucks locations in Houston over six days in September. Because of Tatum’s past felon status, his possession of a firearm during these robberies has led to his case being handled by the US Attorney’s Office. Tatum faces five counts of robbery, four counts of brandishing a firearm, and one count of illegal firearm possession. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in federal prison for each robbery count, a mandatory seven years for committing a crime with a firearm, and a possible 10-year term for firearm possession as a felon. He could also face fines of up to $250,000 for each charge.
