The Democratic Governance Conference 2024 was held online, featuring the presentation of a Quality of Life rating for Ukrainian cities, based on a nationwide municipal survey. The conference brought together city mayors from all over Ukraine, representatives of the central government, international partners, and civic society leaders. The participants discussed the results of the municipal survey, shared the challenges of communities during wartime and sought common solutions for transparent and inclusive recovery. The survey was conducted by the reputable sociological group “Rating” on behalf of the International Republican Institute (IRI), with 16800 respondents in 21 regional centers. The city of Khmelnytskyi traditionally ranks high (third place) in the summarized index of all services.
