The Health Care Department of the City Council organized a “Medical Picnic” to celebrate International Children’s Protection Day. Around 20 Khmelnitsky medical and pharmaceutical establishments participated in the event that took place outdoors in Mykhailo Chekman Park. Students from Khmelnitsky Basic Medical College taught visitors how to perform artificial respiration on infants, measure a child’s weight, and talked about the benefits of breastfeeding. Medical professionals explained their profession and areas of work. Activities included a variety of medical examinations, and the communal pharmacy introduced children to medicinal herbs. The picnic aimed to teach the younger generation to take care of their health. Visitors enhanced their medical knowledge, participated in interesting competitions and workshops, and tasted the famous “border guard porridge.”
