The Infrastructure Department of Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, is reporting on the public sector, primarily the utility company “Khmelnytskteplokomunenergo,” which provided heating and hot water services. Despite challenges associated with the war, the winter season passed without significant disruptions and saw a decrease in heat network damages and consumer complaints. In 2023, the company became a participant in international support programs and humanitarian aid from USAID and IOM. For 2024, plans include various infrastructure upgrades, annual maintenance, and continued partnership with support programs. The city mayor, Oleksandr Simchyshyn, emphasized that the next heating season will likely be challenging due to the ongoing war.
