Bally’s and Full House Resorts are preparing to extend their temporary casinos in Illinois, as they work on developing their permanent facilities. Bally’s aims to secure financing for its $1.74 billion hotel and casino in Chicago, while Full House’s American Place resort and casino in Waukegan is delayed due to a lawsuit. The Illinois Gaming Board has given both companies permission to operate their temporary casinos for over two years. Bally’s plans to start work on its 500-room facility in summer 2021, with completion aimed for 2026. Meanwhile, Full House’s permanent facility, which will include a 20-suite hotel, 1,640 slot machines, and a 1,500-seat entertainment venue, is expected to open in 2027.
