Texas weather hail storms: Tornado moving past I-45 between Huntsville and New Waverly leave behind debris
Southeast Texas experienced multiple adverse weather events including tornadoes and power outages on a recent Sunday. The Texas power outage tracker reported 287 outages in the Montgomery area at 11:35 a.m. due to severe storms. The National Weather Service had issued Tornado Warnings for counties north of Houston and confirmed the sightings of two tornadoes. Debris from the severe weather also caused traffic disruptions. Despite calming down by Sunday afternoon, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Watches remained in effect until 3 p.m. in certain counties.
