Southwest Side scrap yard changes facility to meet code compliance

Monterrey Iron & Metal, a century-old recycling company based in San Antonio, is threatened with the loss of its recycling license due to multiple city code violations. The company has a week left to appeal the city’s decision to revoke its license, and it has notified the city of its efforts to comply with the code. COO Jordan Vexler has also expressed interest in participating in the city’s efforts to improve property and fire code across the city.
