The U.S. Senate has passed a bill to provide nearly $1 billion in aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. The bill received support from both Democrats and Republicans, with a small group of conservatives protesting the $60 billion allocation for Ukraine and calling for a border security deal. While the debate was ongoing, President Joe Biden was in discussions with Jordan’s King Abdullah II about increasing humanitarian aid to Gaza. Notably, the House has stated it won’t bring the bill to the floor for a vote.
