San Diego local musician, Levi Chinchurreta, is among many who lost everything in the severe flooding caused by the January 22 storms. The floods damaged several of his guitars and displaced his family. Despite getting some help from the city, the process of finding permanent housing is taking longer than expected. This is a situation shared by over a thousand San Diegans, who were displaced by repeated floods and are struggling to find new homes amidst the city’s housing crisis. Levi’s church has opened its doors to him and his family, allowing them to stay in the pastor’s office while they determine their next steps.
