In 2023, driver Alex Albon and the Williams team performed well on low-drag circuits with their FW45 car, but struggled in other conditions. For the 2024 season, Williams’ priority has been to improve the handling of their new car, the FW46, to ensure consistent points across various circuits. Albon says the new car feels “very different” and appears to have improved in areas where the FW45 was weak, such as low speed, braking, and high-speed long corners. Albon also mentioned that the feedback from all team members, not just his own, led to changes in the FW46. The aim for the new season is to close the sizable gap in the points table and regularly finish in the points.
