Veteran broadcaster and former NPR host Bob Edwards died at the age of 76. Edwards is remembered as the long time host of NPR’s Morning Edition, and his distinctive voice was a part of the morning routine for millions of Americans. Edwards started his career at NPR as a newscaster, later hosting All Things Considered and Morning Edition. Susan Stamberg, an NPR colleague, remembered Edwards for his humor and his popular weekly conversation with sports broadcasting legend Red Barber. After leaving NPR, Edwards went on to host his own interview show at Sirius XM Radio.
